The mantra
ॐ गं गणपतये नमः
oṁ gaṁ gaṇapataye namaḥ
Meaning
Oṁ, salutations to Gaṇapati, lord of the host, remover of obstacles.
In the tradition
In every Indian beginning, the elephant-headed one comes first; writers whisper it before the first word, students before the exam, potters before the wheel. The seed sound “gaṁ” is his compressed presence; the habit it encodes (ask that obstacles clear before charging ahead) is the teaching.
